This Sunday was the final rehearsal for Kevin, Mark, Cassandra, and Joey’s string quartet! Thank you for the 3 years dedicated to MusicXConnect performances. This organization had grown from the pragmatic conversions and light-hearted banter of your rehearsals. We wish you great success with your final performance this Friday and Central Community Elementary!

It disheartens me to recognize that we will no longer perform and practice together, whether on the weekends or in the stuffy attic of Port Moody Secondary. I am eternally grateful for the times we have had together, and I want to thank you for helping me fulfill the longtime dream of mine to play, have fun, and perform in a string quartet. This organization was founded on the basis of this principle, and my ambitions would’ve never stayed ablaze without your presence. I hope that we can forever cherish the beautiful and funny moments we have had, like my spastic foot taping, Mark’s jazzy riffs and infamous double cues, Cassandra’s concert attire AF1, Joey’s makeshift stand and F1 obsessions. Let’s also not forget our performances in the rain, at places that didn’t appreciate us quite as much, and the many beautiful and welcoming venues we have been at. I hope you are proud of what we have accomplished by spreading joy through music. You all meant and will mean a great deal to me as friends, and I look forward to playing with you all again when our lives are less busy. Let Mark’s shattered rosin be the final evidence of our adventures. Love you all!
